Boise Streetscapes - 1890's - 1930's
While much has changed in our Boise downtown in the 150 years since the city was established it’s wonderful that so much has remained to anchor our present to our past. This collection is a small sample of the vast archives of images that show that change can happen in harmony with preservation of our community history. You see familiar architecture and glimpse the evolution of fashion as well as transportation as the city grew from its pioneer roots to a robust city with grand hotels, confident solid banks, impressive government centers, local markets and so much more.
